Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Outsource, the nation's leading provider of low voltage and electrical talent.

As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage cable systems in commercial environments. This includes pulling and routing CAT 5, CAT 6, and CAT 6A cable, terminating phone jacks, and installing support structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pulling and routing cable in new construction commercial environments
  • Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames
  • Installing support structures, including ladders, racks, and j-hooks

Requirements:

  • Recent experience performing low voltage/structured cabling installations in a commercial setting
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
  • Rack and stack work, closet work, and server rack assembly
  • Fiber experience, including Anaerobic Terminations, SC and LC Connectors, and Splicing
  • Ability to read and understand schematic and line diagrams
  • Basic telecom tools, including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and PPE
