We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at New York University. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, painting interior and exterior of buildings, and performing drywall repair/replacement using a wide variety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
  • Paint interior and exterior of buildings, using a variety of techniques and materials.
  • Perform drywall repair/replacement, including cutting, fitting, and finishing.
  • Create color samples to determine proper matching of colors and mix paints per paint codes.
  • Finish surfaces using sandpaper, pumice, wax, and other materials.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Four years of experience as a skilled painter.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to frequently changing priorities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and physically cope with extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift large, heavy items, stand, bend, stoop, and lift for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and physically cope with extreme weather conditions.

New York University offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $ This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts.

This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
