Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Can Can Brasserie, a part of the HOUSEpitality Family. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food to the exact chef's specifications and setting up stations for menu. Your duties will include assisting the executive and Chef de Cuisines with their daily tasks, preparing food for service, cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, and maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisines instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Proper attention to cleanliness and safety
- Additional duties as assigned

- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all co-workers
- Able to perform high-quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to go up and down stairs
