  • Patient Experience
    • Engage with patients to provide empathetic and personalized care, addressing their medication needs and concerns.
    • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive patient experience.
  • Operations
    • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, and refer to medical providers as needed.
    • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
    • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
  • People & Performance Management
    • Collaborate with the Store Manager to establish expectations and goals, promote teamwork, and foster a shared vision.
    • Monitor and recognize improvements in pharmacy staff performance, implementing rewards programs as needed.
  • Training & Personal Development
    • Maintain required licensing, credentialing, and certification to provide clinical services.
    • Enhance current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy-related journals and Walgreens publications.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software, and technology systems, and insurance billing.
