We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Department Coordinator to join our team at Marshalls. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandise Execution: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensure they complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
- Inventory Management: Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Communication: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
- Store Standards: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
- Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
- Communication Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Adaptability: Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
We offer a competitive starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package including Associate discount, EAP, smoking cessation, bereavement, 401(k) Associate contributions, and more.
