Job Title: Network Architecture Director

Western Digital is seeking a highly experienced Network Architecture Director to lead our global Enterprise Network Architecture team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision for our network architecture, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration and design, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing and leading a team of network architects and engineers is essential. A CCIE or equivalent certification is also required.

The Network Architecture Director will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in network service planning, design, proof-of-concept, and deployment. They will also develop and maintain network policies and standards, including network security policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the global Enterprise Network Architecture team
  • Lead a team of network architects and engineers globally
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in network service planning, design, proof-of-concept, and deployment
  • Develop and maintain network policies and standards, including network security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to understand and address their network needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 16+ years of experience in network administration and design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of network architects and engineers
  • CCIE or equivalent certification
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, network security concepts, and network troubleshooting methodologies
  • Experience with network automation tools and network management platforms
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
