Bellperson/Shuttle Driver

The Bellperson/Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests upon arrival and departure by assisting with luggage, offering information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring a positive first impression.
This role also involves driving the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from local destinations, contributing to a seamless guest experience through attentive and courteous service.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor, offering luggage cart, assisting with loading of luggage and check-in procedures.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel amenities and services along the way.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles, ensuring the safe handling of guest belongings, and answering guest questions.
- Provide information about hotel facilities and services, local attractions, dining options, and current events to enhance the guest experience.
- Open doors for guests as they arrive and depart, proactively engaging with guests.
- Knows the entire hotel layout and preferred routes for escorting guests to their rooms and/or meeting areas.
- Collaborate with front desk staff and housekeeping to ensure seamless service for guests, coordinating with guest services staff regarding daily VIP arrivals and special guests.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
- Manage deliveries, informing guests of packages and assisting with luggage storage.
- Assist with special events and group arrivals as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Drive the hotel shuttle van to transport guests to and from local destinations, following designated routes and strictly adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, bell stand area, and hotel vehicles.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions based on guest needs and hotel policies.
- Ability to adapt to quickly changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment and respond with a sense of urgency when needed.
- Move heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs.) in and out of vehicles repeatedly for duration of shift.
- Ability to move carts weighing between 100 and 150 lbs, throughout hotel, both inside and out, including outside, hotel lobby, event areas, and guest rooms.
- Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
- Frequent extending arms: reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, stooping, and ascending stairs throughout shift.
- Able to work outside at varying noise levels and being exposed to winter/summer temperature extremes when assisting guests with their luggage or driving the shuttle.
- Able to stay alert and quickly identify and respond to safety concerns and emergency situations.
- A valid driver's license with at least 3 years' driving experience and a clean driving record is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in the position of guest services or similar service role is preferred.
