Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply core systems engineering principles to mission development, ensuring full traceability through mission and systems requirements.
- Lead teams through the full lifecycle of solutions, making technical decisions and overseeing system integration and dependencies.
- Design, develop, validate, document, and deliver cost-effective embedded determination and controls software that meets product, customer, and mission requirements.
- Accountable for flight control requirements sell-off to stakeholders and customers, and demonstration of integration readiness at various program milestones.
- Develop mission capability, build business cases, and support CTO, strategy, and executive sponsors as directed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or related field plus a minimum of 8 years of related professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 4 years of professional experience may be considered.
- 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Flight Software Development Experience (methodologies, best practices).
- Understanding of systems/software engineering development lifecycle process for large-scale, complex space systems.
- Conversant in space system disciplines.
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering for Software, experience and applications of architecture and design patterns (GoF).
- Experience developing 4+1 architecture view models for software.
- Ability and willingness to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Matlab & Simulink Experience.
- Experience with all phases of spacecraft integration and test-related activities ranging from proposal development through on-orbit commissioning operations.
- 7+ years' experience as a people manager, directly or indirectly.
- Experience leading technical execution on challenged programs.
