The Clinical Director will oversee the clinical strategy and direction of Award Behavioral Health's ABA program, ensuring quality and productivity benchmarks are met. This leadership role will provide overall programmatic and clinical oversight, ensuring consistency and continuity in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement clinical practice protocols
  • Conduct case conferencing and create/review treatment plans
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, insurance, and governing entities
  • Supervise, train, coach, and mentor BCBAs and staff
  • Ensure compliance with agency training requirements
  • Consult with clinical staff to establish and address clinical goals
  • Make adjustments to clinical services to meet community needs
  • Ensure full compliance with reimbursement and licensing regulations
  • Stay informed and in touch with governing and reimbursement entities
  • Address and monitor corrective action plans related to clinical and administrative performance
  • Collaborate with all divisions, program directors, and managers to ensure a robust integrated behavioral health care system
  • Lead and manage clinical staff through recruitment, retention, mentoring, coaching, and supervision
  • Ensure staff meets ethical standards (Code of Ethics)
  • Provide clinical supervision of individual and/or group sessions for non-independently licensed providers and Behavioral Health Techs and interns
  • Monitor timeframe goals for staff needing to complete independent licensing
  • Remain current on required trainings supporting clinical supervisor and licensure renewals
  • Coordinate or delegate the peer review process
  • Support agency licensing and accreditation processes
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Improvement Program
  • Responsible for staff readiness, including Comprehensive Medical Record Review audits
  • Participate in various trainings related to professional development
  • Provide clinical services to patients on the assigned caseload
  • Ensure total agency caseload has current authorization
  • Assist with responding to grant and/or Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities
  • Conduct 3-5 clinical trainings a year
Requirements
  • Professional knowledge and skills as a BCBA, with LBA and Supervision Certification
  • Knowledge of program planning concepts, principles, and practices
  • Knowledge of requirements for providing clinical program oversight
  • Knowledge of the cultural, social, and economic background of diverse populations served
  • Ability to establish program goals and objectives
  • Ability to provide clinical advice, guidance, and support to professional staff
  • Ability to handle the administration of remote program sites
  • Ability to establish rapport and gain the confidence of the patient care team, clients, and associates
  • Proficient with computer-based applications such as MS Office, Adobe, and electronic health record practice management and clinical software
  • 5+ years of behavioral health analyses and related experience in the field of public health or community program development
  • 3 years of experience providing clinical supervision to staff
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Must have a valid and unrestricted NY State driver's License
