Job Title: Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement contract life cycle management processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance through obtaining and renewing business registrations and contractor licensing.
  • Analyze requests for proposal and contract terms to identify business risks and recommend edits to the contract terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across organizational lines to understand and mitigate risks inherent to construction contracts, subcontract, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor and administer the compliance provisions of assigned contracts to ensure that contract requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with claims managers and outside legal counsel on the defense of insurance claims.
  • Review and analyze subcontracts and purchase order terms to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control for outside legal counsel expense.
  • Identify cost-saving and cash flow improvement opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract performance, including financial status, milestones, and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Business or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in proven experience in equipment management, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment performing similar primary responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • High degree of integrity, sensitivity, and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
