At Wellness Pointe, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Support Liaison to join our team.
This role is responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to obtain demographic and insurance information necessary for medical record identification and bill processing.
- Input patient registration information into our computer system and verify the accuracy of the data entered.
- Prepare required forms for signature by patients or family members.
- Request and collect co-pays and deposits, and issue receipts at the time of payment.
- Discuss financial arrangements with incoming patients and/or family members and explain billing and collections policies.
- Communicate with medical/clinical personnel regarding patient access, inter-facility transfers, reimbursement issues, authorization requirements, etc.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain and track authorizations for procedures to be performed.
Insurance Verification and Pre-Authorization:
We are committed to ensuring that our patients receive the necessary care and services in a timely and efficient manner. As a Patient Support Liaison, you will play a critical role in verifying patient insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorization for procedures to be performed.
