Job Title: Security Officer Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Allied Universal Services. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our hospital clients and their patients.

Job Summary:

The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling the hospital grounds, monitoring CCTV cameras, and responding to emergencies. You will also be responsible for controlling access to the hospital, preventing crime, and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
  • Patrol the hospital grounds and monitor CCTV cameras to ensure the safety and security of patients and staff.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
  • Control access to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized personnel can enter and exit the facility.
  • Prevent crime, such as theft, vandalism, and disturbances.
  • Maintain confidentiality, handling private information with discretion.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age; 21 for Armed or Taser positions.
  • High school diploma, College Degree, or GED. Education must be verifiable through the background vendor.
  • Must have 5 years of work experience within the last 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years verifiable work history.
  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
  • Driving Positions Only: Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
Physical and Mental Functions:
  • Climb and descend stairs to all floors of the hospital in the event elevators are not accessible due to mechanical issues or emergency situations.
  • Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
  • Assist in lifting patients as needed to either assist nursing staff or help transport expired patients.
  • Restrain violent/combative patients to prevent injuries to themselves and others.
  • Run as needed.
