Responsibilities:
The Product Stewardship division is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our products for both people and the environment.

This team provides specialized guidance and assistance to various business units in adhering to regulatory standards, particularly concerning vital issues such as European regulations on food and drinking water contact.

Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as the primary Product Steward and liaison for multiple business lines within the Engineered Materials division.

- Monitoring regulatory developments with an emphasis on European legislation.

- Assisting the Celanese business in evaluating regulatory changes and their implications for compliance.

- Responding to customer inquiries regarding compliance statements.

- Conducting assessments for critical issues and sensitive applications, including compliance with European Food Contact Regulations.

- Coordinating and evaluating migration tests pertinent to EU Food Contact compliance as required.

- Offering support to testing institutions when customers request evaluations.

- Executing product risk management (PRM) strategies to ensure business continuity and address compliance inquiries related to new business opportunities.

- Serving as a subject matter expert on European Drinking Water (DW) contact regulations:

- Assisting customers with requests for European DW contact approvals for Celanese products on a global scale.

- Collaborating with testing institutions to secure or renew DW contact approvals.

- Actively engaging in European trade associations for information gathering and advocacy on relevant legislation.

Qualifications:
- A University Degree in chemistry or a related discipline (Diploma or Master’s).

- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and/or professional experience (e.g., food contact, drinking water, chemical inventories) is advantageous.

- Basic understanding of polymers is preferred.

- Knowledge of SAP EHS is desirable.

- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate internationally.

- Excellent communication abilities and a business-oriented mindset.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
