Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute production strategies to align with operational targets and client requirements. Supervise production workflows to guarantee efficiency, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Pinpoint areas for process enhancement and take corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with different departments to streamline operations and resource management.
  • Uphold safety measures and regulatory compliance to reduce workplace incidents and foster a secure working environment. Conduct routine safety assessments and apply corrective actions as needed.
  • Remain updated on industry standards and best practices concerning workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Address conflicts and manage disciplinary matters in line with company guidelines. Cultivate a constructive work atmosphere that encourages collaboration, safety, and employee involvement.
  • Oversee and allocate budgets for labor, materials, and production-related expenses. Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency. Track spending and implement cost-saving strategies as necessary.
  • Establish and uphold quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet defined standards. Work alongside quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply of materials and finished goods. Implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and optimize turnover. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain regular communication with executive leadership to provide updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and deliver reports on key performance indicators, production goals, and budget discrepancies. Collaborate with other departments to synchronize production schedules and resolve interdepartmental challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production methodologies, quality management systems, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Certification in production and quality management is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Understanding of all plant operations and their interdependencies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Operations Manager.
  • 15 years of experience on the manufacturing production floor.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and IATF16949.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
