Job Summary:

Epsilon is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator Lead to oversee the operation and maintenance of network infrastructures within domestic and international environments and data centers. This role will support a large enterprise effort on a federal contract, ensuring network availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.

Implement network security measures and protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with federal standards.

Collaborate with other IT teams to support the integration of new technologies and services.

Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and standards.

Conduct training and mentoring for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Participate in capacity planning and network expansion projects to meet future business needs.

Coordinate with vendors for procurement and support of network equipment and services.

Ensure adherence to SLAs and provide regular reporting on network performance and incidents.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including CCNA or CCNP certification.

Proficient in routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and network architecture design.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).

Strong understanding of network security principles and experience implementing security measures.

Familiarity with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and VPN solutions.

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) as they relate to network infrastructure.

Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Additional Requirements:

Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Will be subject to a federal background investigation.

Working Conditions:

This role will work onsite in Crystal City, VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas, VA within the first year. The Network Administrator Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operation and maintenance of network infrastructures within domestic and international environments and data centers. This role will support a large enterprise effort on a federal contract, ensuring network availability, security, and performance.
