Sourcecode Inc is seeking an experienced Cable Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a Cable Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for the complete assembly of cable products, including pin crimping, wire splicing, heat shrink sleeving, and labeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established processes and procedures to assemble cable products
  • Read and interpret cable assembly prints, drawings, schematics, and wire run lists
  • Perform crimping, splicing, cutting, stripping, staking, labeling, and testing as necessary
  • Follow all ISO and ESD related processes and procedures
  • Perform heat shrink sleeving processes when required
  • Apply glue, epoxies, or other potting or adhesives as required per the print
  • Work in a timely manner to support production schedule
  • Comply with IPC 620 inspection standards and build product that meets quality standards
  • Record time using MRP and data collection tools
  • Use wire strippers and other related production equipment for the assembly of cable products
  • Assemble connectors and switches
  • Perform continuity testing
  • Retrieve and put away all raw components and materials to perform job and after completing job
  • Use automated and semi-automated equipment per instructions and adhere to all applicable safety requirements

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Prior experience in cable assembly
  • Gather materials and tooling necessary to perform work in an organized manner
  • Detail oriented
  • Work well independently or as part of a team
  • Communicate effectively
  • Interpret drawings and specified dimensions properly
  • Report to work on time and be present at their workstation when required
  • Use of soldering iron from time to time may be required
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Ability to carry/lift loads up to 50 lbs
