Job Summary:

The Breakdown Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the timely resolution of breakdowns and maintenance issues for our fleet of trucks. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for drivers and repair shops, coordinating breakdown and maintenance services.
  • Analyzes and authorizes repair issues, using discretion to determine the best course of action.
  • Provides drivers with options for maintenance and repair services, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Communicates effectively with drivers, repair shops, and internal departments to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Utilizes software databases to locate qualified repair shops and track progress.
  • Processes payments for services rendered and ensures accurate record-keeping.
  • Assists with dispatch duties, including after-hours contact with drivers and critical load management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous maintenance and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry and equipment maintenance a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
