Job Summary

Kennedy Valve is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for protecting our physical assets and providing exceptional customer service to our team members, visitors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
  • Represent Kennedy Valve in a professional manner, providing high-quality customer service and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Direct incoming telephone calls to the appropriate department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with asset-related processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with team members, visitors, and contractors to resolve potential conflicts and ensure a smooth working environment.
  • Monitor and track safety and environmental-related alarms, making timely notifications when necessary.
  • Act as a first responder when required and assist in coordinating emergency responses.
  • Track and log waste shipments in and out of the facility.
  • Collect, sign, and distribute delivery/service truck materials paperwork.
  • Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility and grounds, monitoring for environmental and safety-related emergencies.
  • Monitor physical security systems and other safety equipment.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; applicable certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in asset protection, security, or a related field, 1-3 years preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional appearance, and ability to handle stress and conflict situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong written/verbal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work rotating shift hours if needed, though rarely occurs.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
Work Environment
  • Standing or sitting at a desk for long periods, walking throughout the facility, and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds of weight as required.
  • Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Work time is spent primarily inside the main entrance building, with rounding on the manufacturing floor and KV grounds; occasional tasks and interactions outdoors.
