Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Barista to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our cafe team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, coaching and developing our baristas, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model excellent customer service and provide training to baristas on how to deliver first-class service.
  • Ensure a welcoming and well-stocked cafe environment that meets our high standards.
  • Understand customer needs and provide recommendations to improve operations and drive sales.
  • Coach and provide feedback to baristas to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Solve problems efficiently and effectively, while supporting your team members.
  • Engage customers in the store through initiatives such as sampling and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational standards, safety, and health codes.
  • Protect company assets by executing loss prevention procedures.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a senior barista or barista leader.
  • Excellent knowledge of cafe operations and business principles.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in training and developing employees.
