Senior Ads ML Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Ads ML Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in upholding this mission by designing and implementing high-performance and efficient machine learning systems that power our critical and revenue-generating models.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams to architect ads ML feature infrastructure solutions that unlock Pinterest ads models innovations.
- Mentor engineers to develop their careers and achieve their goals, setting the technical vision, guiding the day-to-day execution, and fostering good team health and culture.
- Lead the team to build the next-generation Pinterest Ads ML foundations, leveraging cutting-edge ML technologies such as GPU, Feature Store, and LLMs to empower 100x bigger models with more enrichment model features.
- Act as a stalwart of technical quality and excellence on the team, ensuring the solutions delivered have a high level of polish and reliability.
- 2+ years of management experience or tech lead experience in an 8+ person team (3+ years).
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in leading the design of large-scale and production ML infra systems, such as feature store, model serving, or training framework.
- Deep knowledge of building distributed systems or recommendation infrastructure.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator and communicator.
- Strong people development skills, having helped people grow in their careers.

In-Office Requirement StatementWe let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 time per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Seattle.
