We are currently seeking a Support Care Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to the individuals who consider Verland their home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and support the lives of our residents while ensuring a safe and healthy environment
- Encourage skill development through engaging treatment activities
- Implement personalized programs and document all observations and daily progress
- Participate in organizing social, home, and recreational activities
- Assist with meal preparation and perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- Transport clients to appointments and activities using Verland vehicles
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals without restrictions
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, physical examination, and drug screening
- No prior experience necessary
New hires will receive two weeks of paid training provided by Verland, focusing on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene, and individual support plans that are essential for enhancing the daily lives of those we serve. Completion of this training is mandatory at the start of employment.
