PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret and create technical electrical and control schematics, along with P&ID (Process & Instrumentation) diagrams as necessary.
- Design and uphold electrical control systems within the facility and across all production machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Possess substantial experience with industrial software and work with PLCs, VFDs, temperature controllers, timers, and Rockwell Factory Talk systems.
- Diagnose issues with plant equipment, formulate corrective action plans, and provide guidance and training to maintenance and tooling personnel.
- Experience in integrating electrical control components with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Collaborate with suppliers to define specifications for electrical and control systems, ensuring compliance with established control standards.
- Utilize standard industrial engineering methodologies to analyze processes, leveraging collected data to implement process improvements and enhance manufacturing efficiencies in conjunction with production teams.
- Establish and maintain standard control systems, document control protocols, and drive initiatives to standardize equipment control systems throughout production environments.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, effectively communicating and cooperating with maintenance and tooling staff to ensure comprehensive support for operations.
- Guarantee that all equipment functions are designed and operate within safe and legal parameters in accordance with OSHA and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support production activities within the facility.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting, design, and optimization.
- Develop production methods for new or modified products.
- Design, construct, and oversee product testing equipment, including enhancements to tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Coordinate reliability issues of equipment with maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to reduce scrap and waste while maximizing first-pass quality.
- Engage in management and strategy discussions as needed to assist in guiding product development initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as required to support production operation objectives.
- Associate's Degree or higher in Engineering preferred, or related technical training and certification, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience in Process and Controls engineering.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machining and assembly practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- A results-driven individual committed to achieving excellence.
