Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

Westlake Services is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Corporate team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and compile supporting documents for financial statements and footnote disclosures.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for all quarterly and annual financial information.
  • Lead XBRL tagging of the 10-K and 10-Q financial statements.
  • Prepare cash flow statements involving local and international locations.
  • Perform variance analysis on periodic financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly internal management reports.
  • Assist in the coordination and support of the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.
  • Remain abreast of changes in currently accepted accounting principles versus the company's accounting methods to ensure compliance and changes that may be advantageous to the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with three plus years of progressive reporting experience in both public accounting and private sector.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting and GAAP is critical for this position.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems including SAP and SAP EPM is critical to the position.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Working Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
