Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at the City of Chico, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation work with a minimum of technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex electrical work and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motors, pumps, and instrumentation.
  • Supervise other technical and maintenance personnel.
  • Perform related work as required.
Requirements
  • Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
  • Four years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in a water and/or wastewater treatment plant.
  • Experience in an industrial or commercial environment performing similar or same duties can be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic programmable logic control systems.
  • Grade II Plant Maintenance Electrical Instrumentation Technologist (CWEA) certification.
Working Conditions

The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.
