Job Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety Co-op Student Opportunity at Precision Castparts Corp is a paid, part-time position that offers a unique chance to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. As an EHS Co-op student, you will work on job assignments related to your functional environmental or safety discipline, gaining hands-on experience and developing valuable skills.

Key Responsibilities

Apply EHS principles to hands-on situations
Work with the hourly workforce to address day-to-day safety concerns
Create Department Hazard Maps
Review Environmental / Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs
Perform Respirator Fit Testing
Conduct Plant-wide Hearing Conservation Survey
Gather / Research Safety Data for the Safety Department
Conduct Confined Space Entry Evaluations
Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for various processes and tasks
Work on various environmental projects

Additional Responsibilities

Perform daily safety inspections
Bring safety concerns to the Safety Department

Requirements

Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Environmental or Safety discipline
Knowledge of related environmental, health, and safety engineering practice and regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, etc.)
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
