Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care within the designated area.
  • Welcome patients, guide them to examination rooms, and perform vital signs and other relevant medical assistant duties.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of medical practices and patient care specific to the clinical specialty.
  • Comply with established policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment such as AEDs, autoclaves, blood pressure cuffs, colposcopes, and EKG machines.
  • Proficient in office equipment including computers, printers, fax machines, and telecommunication systems.
  • Experience with software systems like MISYS, E-Prescribe, and PMS is advantageous.
  • Registered or nationally certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Must hold current BLS certification and, if applicable, maintain training in venipuncture.
