About the Role:

The Hematology/Oncology Physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with various hematological and oncological diseases or coagulopathies. This includes diagnosis, evaluation, and management of these conditions, as well as performance of clinical procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and prescription of chemotherapy and other cancer agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative services at the patient's bedside or in the clinic setting
  • Be on-call to evaluate and treat Hematologist/Oncologist consults, clinic, and chemotherapy patients
  • Extensive inpatient and outpatient teaching of medical students and medical residents
  • Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for all Hematology/Oncology clinical patients

Requirements:

  • Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Hematology/Oncology
  • Current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
