KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver modeling and simulation assistance for hypothetical movement of Combatant Command (COCOM) Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD) during Command Post/Computer Assisted Exercises (CPX/CAX).
  • Engage in User Accepted Testing (UAT) of enhancements to AMC exercise Command and Control (C2), Scheduling, and Exercise Management Control systems utilized to support the Joint Exercise Program (JEP) and other exercises, ensuring they function as intended and maintain inter-connectivity.
  • Facilitate interface and integration specifications with the theater C2 system – Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) and the Distribution Exercise Support System (DESS) environment, including IDE/GTN (Integrated Development Environment/Global Transportation Network) Convergence Exercise System (IES), Exercise Single Mobility System (E-SMS), and the Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM).
  • Assist AMC/A37 in collaboration with AMC/A6 to ascertain equipment needs, internal and external systems connectivity requirements for various C2 and ITV functions, and develop precise architecture requirements, diagrams, and checklists.
  • Monitor and document the resolution of technical issues related to system outages, communication failures, and challenges concerning M&S and other software during execution.
  • Participate in exercise planning meetings, and coordinate AMC involvement in JEP exercises to align AMC exercise and training goals with those of other commands and create optimized exercise scenarios.
  • Support the development of AMC exercise materials, documentation, and assist AMC/A37 in preparing exercise presentations.
  • Contribute to the creation of the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) and implementers, Exercise Control directives/instructions; and coordinate these documents with the exercise sponsor to ensure relevance and approval for use during exercise execution.
  • Establish the AMC White Cell, Exercise Control Cell, Exercise Response Cell, and M&S Cell as necessary to manage exercise events and responses, guiding the exercise towards achieving training objectives and providing insights for evaluating AMC participation and responses to exercise events.
  • Assist COCOMs in formulating Airlift cost estimates for their JEP, report actual JEP airlift costs monthly to the Joint Staff, Services, and scheduling COCOMs, and provide AMC/FMAT with an Annual Budget Review (BR), Program Objective Memorandum (POM), estimated JEP flying hours, and airlift costs for BR/POM years.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/Education:

  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in conducting air mobility operations within an air operations center environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of AMC scheduling and C2 systems is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy is crucial.

Preferred Experience/Education:

  • 5 - 7 years of air mobility aircrew experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in AMC exercise design and coordination is advantageous.

Security Clearance: A current and active SECRET level clearance is mandatory.
