Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee and coordinate the tasks of culinary staff and kitchen personnel. Establish presentation standards for dishes and create visually appealing food arrangements. Ensure appropriate portion sizes, presentation, and garnishing of food served. Supervise the quantity of food prepared. Communicate menu highlights and unavailable items to the Food & Beverage service team. Prepare customized meals or alternative options as needed. Assist kitchen staff with various responsibilities. Provide necessary supplies to culinary team members. Monitor inventory of kitchen essentials and food products. Maintain kitchen logs in accordance with food safety protocols. Ensure food quality meets established standards and alert management if any items fall short of specifications.

Support management in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees.

Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security; report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.

Maintain a clean and professional appearance; safeguard proprietary information; protect company assets. Address guest service inquiries effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.

Foster positive working relationships with team members; collaborate to achieve common objectives; listen and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.

Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.

Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Supervisory Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.

License or Certification:
None
