The incumbent will oversee all daily facility upkeep and repair activities, focusing on the evaluation of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and components associated with naval operations, in accordance with established standards. This includes managing work orders, ensuring timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks, and maintaining building systems while supervising the workforce and/or service subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Directly accountable for the successful execution of critical inspections necessary for maintaining operational certification.

· Manage documentation, schedules, and reports related to inspections.

· This role may involve work in various operational areas as needed.

· Supervise personnel engaged in structural, plumbing, painting, and other maintenance tasks. Assign, monitor, and direct employee activities while establishing work schedules.

· Track project status and completion, coordinating work orders and maintenance tasks across departments.

· Provide recommendations regarding hiring, training, promotions, and other personnel matters.

· Prepare and deliver regular progress reports as required.

· Serve as a technical consultant for all relevant operational areas.

· Inspect and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs across various trades.

· Advise management on significant issues and propose corrective measures.

· Conduct random inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.

· Review completed work to confirm compliance with applicable plans and regulations.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.

· Maintain sufficient inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.

· Work with personnel to identify necessary materials and parts for job completion.

· Interpret and apply complex regulations and procedures.

· Review and approve employee timesheets promptly.

· Respond to urgent maintenance requests as necessary.

· Ensure adherence to proper housekeeping practices.

· Understand and manage planned outage processes.

· Consult with management on maintenance projects and priorities.

· Support other departments as directed.

· Comply with established safety and personnel policies and procedures.

· Perform related duties as assigned.

Accountability:

· Knowledge of work control and logistics systems.

· Understanding and compliance with relevant maintenance standards and safety certification programs.

· Proficiency in MS Office applications.

· Familiarity with standard office equipment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

· Experience in facility operations and maintenance.

· Background in marine mechanical or electrical equipment maintenance.

· Minimum of two years in a supervisory or management role.

· Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve objectives.

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.

· U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Current security clearance.

· Five to ten years in facility operations management.

· Three to five years in a supervisory capacity.

· Experience with marine inspections, including underwater assessments.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing preparation.

· Journeyman license in a relevant discipline.

· Familiarity with government contracts and documentation.
