Position Overview:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) serves as an autonomous healthcare provider, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care across various environments, including primary, acute, and specialty care. This role demands a high level of clinical proficiency, focusing on individualized patient assessment, diagnosis, and the formulation of tailored treatment plans.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program in the relevant specialty
  • Current Montana Licensure (APRN) with Prescriptive Authority
  • Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
  • DEA License as applicable to the practice area
  • National board certification as NP in the relevant specialty
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Preferred: Additional training or certification in the relevant specialty
  • Preferred: Two years of Nurse Practitioner experience in the relevant specialty

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, efficient, and evidence-based patient care, including consultations and the initiation of treatment plans, adhering to established standards of care within the specialty.
  • Oversee patient care by conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing health conditions, performing comprehensive admissions, and documenting care through notes and summaries.
  • Manage financial responsibilities related to transcription and coding.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, research, education, and the development of policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to care standards within the specialty.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective prioritization
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and EMR systems

Work Schedule Requirements:

  • Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
  • The role may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call duties may be necessary to address organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and the ability to move objects or individuals.
