Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Texas Lung Care Associates. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our board-certified pulmonologists in the diagnosis and treatment of lung-related health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to our medical team, including patient registration, scheduling, and data entry.
- Assist with patient care tasks, such as vital sign collection, medication administration, and preparation of examination rooms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
