About the Role:

The Dishwasher Assistant plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our restaurant. This role is responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, and that the kitchen and dining areas are kept in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stock levels by assisting chefs in keeping the kitchens in full working order, retrieving stock, and keeping all cooking and serving utensils and plates clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Organize, rinse, and run dishes and utensils through the dishwasher, unload and organize per set guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work area by following sanitation standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Provide foodstuff and utensils for chefs by carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators.
  • Maintain food quality by storing foods in designated areas, minimizing spoilage.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of needed dishes and utensils.
  • Segregate and remove waste in accordance with company standards.

Requirements:
  • Some High School education or equivalent.
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
