Chemical Engineer Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Chemical Engineer Intern to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Mitchell, IN.

Job Summary

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in plant processes, tackle new challenges, and develop real-world working skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to support and participate in assigned project work.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees to achieve production goals.
  • Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of cement plant operations and the cement industry.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A college student studying Chemical Engineering with a strong desire to learn the ins and outs of the cement industry.
  • A highly organized, efficient, and process improvement mindset and skillset.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • A multi-tasker who can tackle multiple projects at the same time.
