Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of production equipment, including electrical controls, circuits, control panels, forklifts, cranes, and other operations equipment.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various production equipment.
  • Control System Programming and Troubleshooting: Develop and implement control systems, including robotic and PLC-based automation, to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Preventative Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with management and plant personnel to improve operational processes and equipment reliability.
  • Vendor Coordination: Schedule and coordinate with vendors for repairs, training, and installations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety devices are inspected regularly and that all equipment is operated in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to technicians, manufacturing engineers, and production leads on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • 5S Activities and Inspections: Perform regular 5S activities and inspections to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Act as an informal leader and mentor to fellow maintenance team members.
  • Travel: Travel up to 25% for training, meetings, and equipment installations.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or Technical Associate's degree and 3 years of experience.
  • CMMS Experience: Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to create, approve, and close work orders.
  • Technical Skills: Read and understand shop orders, blueprints, safety rules, standard work instructions, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Software Skills: Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
Certifications and Training
  • Lock Out/Tag Out Certification: Desired certification.
  • JSAs and Safety Training: Completion of JSAs, Forklift Operations, PPE identification and usage, Crane Training, hazard awareness/identification, Lift table operations, and Rigging safety.
  • Maintenance Metrics and 5S: Understanding of maintenance metrics, issue boards, and 5S principles.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Lifting and Moving: Continuously lift/move 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing and Walking: Continuously stand and walk.
  • Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
