About the Job

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Developmental Psychology to join our team at the University of Minnesota. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in developmental psychology, with a focus on language and communication, prevention/intervention sciences, social and personality development, developmental psychopathology, risk, trauma, and resilience, stress biology, and family, community, and global contexts.

The Institute of Child Development (ICD) is a premier center for scholarship, teaching, and outreach in developmental psychology. Our department offers undergraduate and doctoral programs in Developmental Psychology, including an APA-accredited program in Developmental Psychopathology and Clinical Science in collaboration with the Department of Psychology.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a strong record of scholarship, teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students, and participate in service and community engagement activities. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong record of scholarship in developmental psychology
  • Teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students
  • Participate in service and community engagement activities
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • An earned doctorate in developmental psychology, clinical psychology, or a closely related field
  • Evidence of strong scholarship in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals and a history of conference presentations
  • Evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or postdoctoral levels
