With our headquarters located in Tempe, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas, we strive to create opportunities that enhance the lives of our customers and employees alike by focusing on matching the right customer with the right vehicle under the right terms, guiding them on their journey to ownership.

Our dealerships are spread across the nation, embracing a transparent pricing model that eliminates haggling and gimmicks. Our reconditioning centers breathe new life into pre-owned vehicles. If you possess the drive and ambition to make a significant impact, we invite you to contribute to our mission.

What Does the Position Entail?

DriveTime is actively seeking Automotive Detailers to join our team.

As an Automotive Detailer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving vehicles upon arrival from auction and ensuring they are properly stocked.
  • Preparing and relocating vehicles within the Reconditioning Center for retail distribution.
  • Detailing vehicles, which includes washing, buffing, performing minor paint touch-ups, vacuuming interiors, and cleaning various surfaces.
  • Utilizing cleaning, protective, and restorative products to maintain and enhance vehicle aesthetics.
  • Conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records of each vehicle's condition.
  • Identifying and executing repairs efficiently to minimize rework and production delays.
  • Adhering to safety protocols to reduce the risk of injury to yourself and team members.
  • Collaborating with Reconditioning Center Management to assess inventory for repairs or rejections based on repair costs and overall vehicle quality.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Excellent Communication Skills. You should be able to articulate thoughts clearly and confidently to various audiences, including management.
  • Active Listening. Strive to understand rather than simply respond.
  • Detail-Oriented. We genuinely value meticulous attention to detail.
  • Team Player. You will thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Punctuality. Consistent attendance is crucial for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license and insurable DMV record are required.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

What Benefits Do We Offer?

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage. DriveTime Family of Brands contributes significantly to insurance premiums, ensuring our employees receive exceptional healthcare benefits.
  • Additional Perks. We offer a 401(K) plan, company-paid life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Opportunities for Advancement. We are committed to your professional growth, with numerous promotions occurring annually.
  • Tuition Assistance. We support your professional development through financial assistance for education.
  • Wellness Initiatives. Our wellness program includes self-guided coaching, cash incentives, and discounts on medical premiums for engaging in healthy activities.
  • Competitive Compensation. We offer attractive pay across the organization.
  • Skill Development. Enhance your earning potential as you master your role.
  • Focused Work Environment. Enjoy a role without customer interactions, allowing you to concentrate on vehicle care.
  • Consistent Schedule. We prioritize work-life balance, closing on Sundays for personal time.
  • Generous Time Off. Enjoy 15 days of PTO and 8 paid holidays.

Please note that hiring is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and drug screening. DriveTime maintains a drug-free, tobacco-free workplace and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
