DEKA Research & Development is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical system design, with experience in developing complex mechanical systems and electronics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electro-mechanical systems, including overall system architecture and subsystem interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design goals and ensure product quality
- Develop and maintain system-level test strategies and protocols
- Conduct hazards analysis and failure modes analysis to ensure safe and reliable product design
- Support program management to drive design goals and ensure project success
Requirements:
- MS/BS in Engineering with at least 5+ years' experience in electro-mechanical machine and/or product design
- Demonstrated experience in new product development environments, including embedded software and complex mechanical systems
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills and a history of inventive solutions to technical problems
- Experience with requirements definition and management for performance, standards compliance, and testing
