Position Overview
The Genetic Counseling Program Assistant Professor will take on the role of Assistant Program Director (APD) for the Genetic Counseling Masters Program (GCMP). This position is integral in supporting the Program Director, focusing on educational responsibilities, research development, and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in teaching and curriculum development within the GCMP.
- Contribute to the research aspects of the program.
- Engage in outreach and recruitment efforts to attract diverse candidates.
- Participate in various program committees, including those focused on admissions and accreditation.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling, hold ABGC or ABMG certification, and have at least five years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in public health, community outreach, and engagement with underserved populations. Prior teaching and supervisory experience in genetic counseling is also desirable.
Certifications/Licenses
ABGC or ABMG certification is required.
