Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician I is responsible for performing essential assembly tasks and conducting preliminary inspections of components to create Microelecttrica units for the rail car sector, adhering to detailed specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by following company policies and regulations.
  • Adhere to quality standards and safety guidelines, including ISO certifications.
  • Conduct thorough pre-assembly inspections to identify any existing damage to components.
  • Utilize approved manufacturing instructions to assemble components using hand, pneumatic, and power tools while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform testing on assembled units according to established procedures.
  • Report any defects or issues observed during the assembly process to the supervisor.
  • Monitor the shelf life of consumables and follow proper disposal methods.

Technical Skills:
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Mechanical Skills: Familiarity with maintenance and inspection tools.
  • Time Management: Ensure readiness of equipment for scheduled maintenance.
