Breakfast Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Breakfast Cook to join our team at Basin Harbor. This role involves preparing breakfast items for our guests in an a la carte or buffet atmosphere.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set up station according to the Executive Chef's guidelines.
  • Prepare omelet station for morning service.
  • Ensure the buffet is properly set up with signs and utensils provided by the FOH.
  • Monitor buffet during service with the assistance from food runners.
  • Assist customers with special requests or orders.
  • Break down buffet after end of service.
  • Report safety concerns or mechanical problems with any equipment to the Executive Chef for prompt attention.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Prior culinary experience in hotels or resorts.
  • Understanding and knowledge of food safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Be honest beyond reproach.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be even tempered and respectful of others.
  • Be ServSafe certified or able to be certified.

Salary:$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
