Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chief Radiologic Technologist and the Medical Imaging Director, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist is tasked with performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing patient care in accordance with regulatory standards, physician directives, and departmental protocols.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Producing high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Accurately labeling and documenting imaging procedures.
  • Addressing quality assurance issues promptly.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of images to radiologists.
  • Validating and entering orders correctly.
  • Assisting with patient transport as necessary.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited Radiology program.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) within the first year of employment.
  • A valid G.M.R.T. license from the Texas Medical Board (L.M.R.T. license is not acceptable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Relevant experience as determined by the Medical Imaging Manager or Director.
