The Cremation Services Coordinator is essential in overseeing cremation arrangements, engaging with families to comprehend their needs, and ensuring all specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Funeral Director and Location Manager in maintaining the company's legacy and enhancing market visibility through community engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with families to offer guidance and support during their time of need.
  • Ensure adherence to all professional, local, and federal regulations.
  • Provide aftercare services, including delivering essential documents, information on insurance and pension, and aiding with pre-arrangements.
  • Manage various administrative tasks such as answering calls, preparing reports, and executing errands related to cremation services.
  • Utilize technology proficiently during family meetings to enhance communication.
  • Identify and resolve issues efficiently while analyzing data accurately.
  • Establish connections with families to provide necessary support and assistance.
  • Maintain and organize service contract documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certification/License

  • State Funeral Director Licensure is preferred.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in the funeral industry.
  • 3-5 years of recent experience in administrative or customer service roles.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent administrative and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to operate office equipment and communicate information clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to provide timely solutions.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Reliable transportation for occasional errands is necessary.

Work Environment

  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Local travel may be required occasionally.
  • Professional attire is expected when interacting with families.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 6 hours daily.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to 6 hours daily.
  • Frequent climbing of stairs may be necessary for building access.

Physical Demands

  • Manual dexterity is required for tasks involving paperwork and technology.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Work Schedule

  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (may vary by location).
  • Occasional travel up to 5% may be necessary.

Compensation: $23-$26
