Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Provide safe and efficient personal care to residents, adhering to infection control standards and using recommended safety devices.
- Respond to resident calls and requests for assistance, ensuring timely and compassionate support.
- Document medications, treatments, and care provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in resident care planning, updating care plans and aide assignments as needed.
- Assess residents, document findings, and report to physicians, transcribing orders as required.
- Communicate resident changes of condition to resident sponsors and maintain confidentiality.
- Dispose of discontinued medications and document same, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain correct controlled substance numbers during shifts and complete required documentation.
- Indiana Professional License or License from an NLC participating state required at time of submission.
- Proficiency in computer skills and ability to learn other programs used in maintaining electronic medical records.
- Hands-On American Heart Association CPR and BLS Certification required.
- Dementia 6-hour certification required prior to start.
- LTC experience required.
- EMR, Matrix Care experience preferred.
- Experience with Memory Care.
- Experience with short-term rehab.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
