Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW) Engineering team at Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS). As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Advanced Modular Pretreatment System (AMPS) project, which aims to provide direct feed of Hanford Tank Waste to the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP).

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in project engineering, with a focus on nuclear facilities. You will be responsible for planning and conducting work, requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of the assignments.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Demonstrate interpolative patterned thinking and require minimal guidance.
  • Function as a team member or lead a task force or special assignment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years related experience for Grade 20, and twelve (12) years related experience for Grade 21.

Benefits:

  • Hiring Range Minimum: $126,025 for Grade 20, and $138,700 for Grade 21.
  • Hiring Range Maximum: $158,875 for Grade 20, and $174,900 for Grade 21.
