Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Urban Planning Specialist to join our team at GrantWorks, Inc. in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our planning department, you will collaborate with senior staff, GIS technicians, and client stakeholders to complete comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host public meetings and workshops to engage with local officials and community members
  • Administer community surveys and collect data through field surveys and research
  • Present report summaries and maps to elected officials and the public
  • Interpret local ordinances and propose revisions and additions as needed
  • Develop plan goals and objectives, including Capital Improvement Plans
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Urban/Regional/Community Planning or a related field
  • Proficient knowledge of ESRI's Geographic Information System (ArcPro preferred)
  • Strong research and technical writing skills
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
