About the Role

The Counter Sales Associate/Back-up Driver will act as a Sales Associate for the retail store by selling products to businesses and industrial customers. The associate will also fill in as a backup driver when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Stocking shelves, coordinating cylinder and hardgoods deliveries, and maintaining showroom displays.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers through email, telephone, and walk-ins, soliciting sales from new and existing customers, and managing associated paperwork for future reference.
  • Delivery and Logistics: Periodically deliver products to various business, industrial, and medical gas customers, and act as Backup Driver when necessary.
  • Operational Support: Operate equipment like forklifts as required, support inventory management, housekeeping, displays, and demonstrations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of Customer Service or Sales experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior knowledge of welding is preferred, and ability to lift 25-75 lbs. and occasionally lift over 100 lbs.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT, or ability to get appropriate license and endorsements within 30 days.
