About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Plant Manager to lead our operations team during a period of rapid growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for scaling the organization, a facility expansion, and an ERP upgrade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations in Production, Purchasing, Production Control & Planning, Maintenance, and Shipping/Receiving.
  • Formulate operational strategies to support our growth and drive continuous improvement across the plant.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, priorities, and activities to ensure delivery on customer commitments and attainment of CR business objectives.
  • Drive ongoing development and deployment of roles, responsibilities, and objectives for team members and supporting practices and policies to ensure execution on deliverables.
  • Partner closely with business-aligned Lean champion(s) on Lean transformation planning and execution, and ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and implement highly effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure that teams are informed, aligned, and motivated to accomplish objectives.
  • Provide leadership and management of Re:Build Builders to ensure effective selection, development, retention, and performance management.
  • Own ongoing performance KPIs and metrics and use them to drive improvement in the business and volume/workflow planning.
  • Regularly summarize and communicate operational data to internal partners with focus in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Continuously evaluate proactive and responsive labor needs to meet overall business and production goals.
  • Participate in capacity planning activities to support business sustainment and growth.
  • Create and sustain a highly collaborative environment across their teams and their close partnership with Sales, Engineering, and Technology teams to determine pricing, timing, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) demands and prioritizing of activities to ensure alignment on customer commitments.
  • Coordinate with other support departments such as Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Technical Development, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure successful production operations.
  • Assist with budget preparation for the operations unit and manage ongoing performance on production costs and operating efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Technical discipline (e.g. Engineering), or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in a thermoset composites environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management, including experience with Lean principles and practices, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret operating metrics and financial data to diagnose performance and manage production goals.
  • Excellent leadership, managerial, supervisory, and planning/execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and sustain high levels of team engagement and motivation.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately manage confidential, sensitive information.
