- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating on-call responsibilities
About the Role
The Laboratory Systems Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the Clinical Laboratory Information System, including its interfaces with hospital systems, laboratory instruments, and peripheral equipment. This role involves troubleshooting system and application issues, exploring new system capabilities, maintaining system dictionaries, testing upgrades, and providing training to laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire project lifecycle for assigned software or hardware initiatives, including initiation, functionality analysis, requirements identification, program development, and documentation of testing and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with IT best practices in clinical lab operations, including system security and disaster recovery protocols. Address and resolve system errors or hardware/software failures, and provide support for the anatomic pathology system as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Field of Study: Science, Health Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
- Experience with laboratory applications such as Sunquest, Copath, and Isensix
Preferred:
- Familiarity with HL-7 interface applications
Certifications
Preferred:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist, or a relevant specialty certification (ASCP or AMT)
