Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, conducting quality control procedures, and participating in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform all laboratory testing, including pre-examination phase, in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines.
- Conduct and document established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products.
- Participate in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures to meet the changing healthcare needs of our patients.
- Bachelor's Degree/Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science Program.
- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW).
